About the studio
A small indie studio.
MiLu is a small indie game studio. I'm Mike, the founder.
How the games get made
I make the kind of games I'd want to play. Browser-based, free, no accounts. Each one is built around one mechanic or one feeling, and I keep working on it until it feels right.
Five games are live so far and a sixth is in development. The shelf is deliberately varied: a logic puzzle, a geography game, a history quiz, a cozy tycoon, and a space opera. I'd rather surprise myself than repeat myself.
What's on the shelf
- Doppit. A domino logic puzzle. Three difficulties, daily and endless modes.
- Town Detective. Guess the city from above.
- Historical Events. A history-trivia game I built with my son Joey. Four modes, multiplayer, 66 achievements.
- Pet Cafe. A cozy tycoon you can lose hours to.
- State of Fortune. A 2D space opera, my attempt to honor the Escape Velocity games I loved growing up. Still in development.
The principles
- Browser-first. Open a URL and play. No installs, no app stores.
- Free for now. Eventually I'll likely add a small subscription (around a dollar a month) so the games cover their own server costs and I can keep building. No microtransactions, ever.
- No accounts to play. Your progress lives in your browser. No login or profile to set up before the fun starts.
- Different every time. I don't want to make the same game twice. The shelf above is the proof; the next game will be its own thing too.
- Designed to respect your time. No daily-streak guilt, no engagement loops, no notifications. Play when you want.
Get in touch
Drop me a note from the contact form. I read everything and reply to as much as I can. If you're writing about one of the games, the press kit has fact sheets and quick pitches.
